The Duke University Asian/Pacific Studies Institute will host a roundtable focusing on the study of Chinese politics.

The study of Chinese politics has undergone major changes in recent years. From across the country, five world-class experts on Chinese politics, all senior political scientists, meet together at Duke University to converse about the transformation and the road ahead for our deep understanding of Chinese affairs. Mary Gallagher is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan. Melanie Manion is Vor Broker Family Professor of Political Science at Duke University. Jean Oi is William Haas Professor in Chinese Politics at Stanford University and founding Lee Shau Kee Director of the Stanford Center at Peking University. Elizabeth Perry is Henry Rosovsky Professor of Government and Director of the Harvard-Yenching Institute at Harvard University. Lily Tsai is Associate Professor of Political Science at MIT.
This roundtable will be followed by a reception.
