Paul Tang teaches in the first year at USC. He has been a guest critic and lecturer at UCLA, Boston Architectural Center, and Woodbury University. He has a strong commitment to the impact of design and planning on the built environment. His work has been exhibited and published in the US and abroad.
He has extensive experience at distinguished architectural, urban design, and planning firms in Los Angeles and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Last year he formed his own design studio. His projects include a variety of master planning projects, theaters, institutional facilities, commercial buildings, and single and multi-family homes.
He has participated in many community design charettes. He was involved in the redevelopment plan for St. Elmos Village, an African-American arts community in south central L.A. He is a member of the L.A. Service Station Project -- a community based research and design investigation of the inner city.
