Professor Mera specializes in the Pacific Rim with particular emphasis on Japan. He teaches a management course in the School's IBEAR program and contributes to its MBA Pacific Rim Education Program. Interested in cultural factors in international business management, he explores issues related to American corporations' entry into Japan and Japanese corporations' activities abroad. He follows Japanese politics and has written extensively on recent policies regarding the volatile real estate sector. He worked for the World Bank and and served as consultant for many international agencies and ministries of the Japanese government.
