Chinese, German and American Masters and Doctoral Students: Global Governance 2020, Designing Scenarios for the Future of Institutions (Berlin, Shanghai, Washington) (application deadline: September 30, 2009)

The “Global Governance 2020: Designing Scenarios for the Future of International Institutions” (GG2020) program brings together 24 young leaders, eight from China, Germany and the United States respectively, for three 5-day dialogue sessions in Berlin, Shanghai and Washington D.C. between January 2010 and January 2011.

The program offers GG2020 fellows an opportunity to develop scenarios for the future of international institutions in the areas of peace/security, energy/climate change, and trade/finance. GG2020 fellows will be trained in the scenario planning method by experts from the Daimler Society and Technology Research Group. GG2020 fellows will disseminate their results through op-eds, policy papers, high-profile presentations and the GG2020 website.

The Global Governance 2020 series is jointly implemented by the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi), the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, Fudan University, the Hertie School of Governance, the Brookings Institution and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. 

GG2020 is supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Transatlantic Program of the German Government (ERP Grant administered by the German Ministry for Economics and Technology).
