About Us

The USC U.S. - China Institute aims to enhance understanding of the 21st century’s definitive and multidimensional relationship through cutting-edge social science research, innovative graduate and undergraduate training, extensive and influential public events, and professional development efforts.

Provost C.L. Max Nikias Announces the Establishment of the USC U.S. - China Institute
USCI is to have university-wide reach and to foster policy-relevant social science research. Innovations in the instructional program and effective public programming are also expected.
   The Chinese ’SCentury
Like every other sector of American life, universities are getting the “China religion.” Building on a history of Pacific overtures, USC is positioning itself as the go-to institution for research on the symbiotic relationship between “us” and “them.”
