Midori Goto held concert at the Beijing Concert Hall – Oct 16

Midori Goto performs at the Beijing International Music Festival.

Midori Goto, strings professor and department chair of USC's Thornton School of Music was in China for several performances and master classes, including performing at the Beijing International Music Festival with the China Philharmonic Orchestra. Her sold out concert on October 16th was attended by over 50 Beijing alumni and friends at the Beijing Concert Hall.

A couple of days before the concert, Midori was the guest of honor at a luncheon hosted by the Beijing Rotary Club. She shared about her passion for music and her personal involvement in bringing music to children in remote parts of the world. For her tireless efforts in volunteerism and goodwill projects, Midori was presented with a banner of recognition from Beijing Rotary club president, John Barnes.
